WHAT IS SCRANTON PILATES ?

SCRANTON PILATES offers group, private and semi-private Reformer Pilates sessions
that are fully activating, low impact and simply the best thing ever- using state of the art
equipment inside a beautiful loft in downtown Scranton.

45 minutes group sessions, 45-60 minutes private/semi-private session- targeting major
muscle groups, fine tuning posture & balance and completely connecting body-soul with your specific goals & intentions.

SP FACILITIES

SCRANTON PILATES is a private studio and is filled with those who have either
prebooked a session or have a scheduled time to come in. We do not offer Showers or Locker Rooms. However, there is a space to store away your belongings. We are not responsible for any lost or stolen items.

CANCELLATION POLICY

We understand that life happens. To ensure the best experience for all our clients, we kindly ask that:
 • Group classes: Please cancel 12 hours or more in advance. Your credit will be returned to your account.
 • Late cancellations or no-shows: Cancellations within 12 hours of class, or missed sessions, will forfeit the class credit and may incur a $10–$20 studio fee.
 • Private sessions: Require 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations within this window will result in forfeiture of the session.
For safety and flow, late arrivals cannot join class once it begins. This ensures every client enjoys a calm, uninterrupted, and safe experience.

I'M NEW TO REFORMER PILATES. CAN I STILL TAKE CLASS?

We warmly welcome both seasoned practitioners and newcomers. If you are new to Pilates, our team may recommend an introductory private session or beginner-friendly class to help you feel confident and supported from the very first moment.

WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE FOR CLASS?

We suggest arriving a little early - about 5 minutes—so you can sip some water, set up your reformer, and ease into the calm vibe before class starts.

WHAT IS THE ATTIRE @ SP?

We invite you to wear fitted, comfortable activewear that allows you to move freely. Loose clothing, zippers, or sharp jewelry are not recommended, as they may catch in the springs, rail bed, or equipment and could damage the leather or carbon fiber. Safety and preservation of our studio is always our priority.
Shoes are stored at the entrance, and Pilates socks are required for stability, hygiene, and a premium experience.
If you need a pair—or want to elevate your studio style—we offer a curated selection of socks and SP apparel, available in-studio or online. We’ve got you covered.

I WAS GIVEN A GIFT CARD, BUT UNABLE TO APPLY IT TO MY PURCHASES ONLINE?

Gift Cards purchased in store vs. online, must be redeemed in store and can not be redeemed online. Gift cards purchased online can be redeemed online. 
We would be more than happy to apply the gift card over the phone or via email. Please either reach out to us via email, call, or come in to studio.

WHAT ARE THE AGE REQUIREMENTS @ SP?

Parent/Guardian signature is required for anyone between 15-18 years of age. Send email

CAN I DO PILATES IF I AM PREGNANT?

If you’re new to Pilates, we recommend starting with private sessions during pregnancy.

If you’re already practicing with us and have doctor approval, you may continue classes through your 2nd trimester (up to 28 weeks).

For the 3rd trimester, privates are your best, safest option.
 Always listen to your body and your doctor — we’ll take care of the rest.

WHAT IF I AM RECOVERING FROM AN INJURY OR HAVE MEDICAL ISSUES?

Pilates can support recovery, improve stability, and reduce risk of future injury.

Before participating, please consult your physician and share any limitations with us so we can guide your practice safely.

Private sessions are ideal for targeting specific areas and adapting your practice to your needs.

I TRIED TO BOOK A CLASS AND IT SAID IT WAS WAITLISTED?

If a class is full, you may join the waitlist to be added automatically should a spot open due to cancellation. Clients are admitted in the order they joined the waitlist.

Please note: our cancellation policy applies. Only add yourself to the waitlist if you are able to attend, as late cancellations or no-shows may result in a deduction of a session credit and a processing fee of $10–$20.

We appreciate your courtesy and respect for our limited-space schedule, which allows all clients to enjoy a seamless and elevated experience.
